Project Management
Brane adapts an agile project approach for each and every individual customer project. An agile project approach is a method characterized by minimal bureaucracy and a few, flexible rules. This allows significant improvements over the classical approach through a faster and a more flexible development process.

Brane primarily relies on the Scrum and PMI methods. The goal is to reduce the drafting phase and quickly attain executable software prototypes. The prototypes are then expanded at regular, short intervals and presented to the customer for approval. This way we can flexibly react to customer requests. Our motto is:
Individuals and interactions over processes and tools
Development processes and tools are important, but the qualification of those involved in the project and efficient communication among the stakeholders are much more important.
Working software over comprehensive documentation
Being in the business for years, we know that well-written documentation is helpful but the actual goal of development is the finished software.
Customer collaboration over contract negotiation
A contract is normally the basis for cooperation but we do care a lot about what the customer really wants and this can only be determined through constant communication.
Strong team and effective communication over bureaucracy driven processes
Development processes and tools are important, but the qualification of those involved in the project and efficient communication among the stakeholders are much more important.
Responding to change over following a plan
Many requirements and boundary conditions as well as the understanding of the problem change within the course of a development project. The team must be able to react quickly.
Important components of our entire project process are project management, business process management, analysis of requirements and systems and quality management.
